If you like Morzine in winter, then you’ll love it in summer! It’s the same town but seems so different; bright flower displays spilling from every balcony, green pastures all round, colourful parapentes up in the azure sky, the tinkling of Alpine cow bells amongst the wildflowers up on the slopes. There’s such a variety of activities and sports to try, ranging from the increasingly popular mountain biking and hiking to golf, parapenting, tennis, adventure parks, whitewater rafting and via ferrata. Many of these activities are suitable for families with children, which means that you can have an active and interesting summer holiday, keeping everyone happy! 25 Portes du Soleil ski lifts are open in the summer (click here for a summer map) enabling you to get up high for spectacular walking or mountain biking – in fact the whole Portes du Soleil circuit can be covered in a day on mountain bikes once you get up to intermediate level. |

The summer has a much more laid-back feel; town bars and restaurants have sunny terraces spilling out onto the pavements, people have the time for a refreshing glass or rosé or beer in the warm summer evenings, BBQ scents fill the air, and the whole valley opens up to be discovered – there are wonderful mountain restaurants to try in places that you’ve never been to before! |

Our summer programme reflects this laid-back feeling; our self-catered chalets and apartments are available for short stays, long weekends and non-standard changeover days. Just contact us with your requirements and we’ll see what we can do. Prices are much lower in the summer than the winter so it’s totally possible to have a family or group holiday at reasonable cost.
