Catered Chalet Holidays

We have some of the best catered chalets in Morzine, both for central location and the comfort factor. You’ll be superbly looked after by the Mountain Highs team at each chalet:  there’ll be a hearty breakfast everyday to set you up for the slopes, a home-baked cake for afternoon tea, and a delicious evening meal. Each chalet also has a well stocked self-service Bar.  Your rooms will be tidied daily and bathrooms and WCs will all be cleaned.  Chalet staff have one day off, generally mid-week, when breakfast and afternoon tea will be left ready for you, but dinner is not provided and we are happy to advise you on, and book local restaurants for you.

New Years Eve in Chalet Rasera

Afternoon tea is a cake (or little cakes / cookies) made daily and left ready for you to tuck into on your return from the slopes, along with tea, coffee and ample French bread, jam and spreads. The Chalet Honesty Bar is available for you to help yourselves to at any time – it’s stocked with a range of beers, mixers, soft drinks and wines, all at reasonable prices.

Children’s Supper (for the 2 – 12’s) is served earlier than adults’ dinner, and is 2 courses (main course and pudding).  Children’s meals are carefully chosen to ensure that the children eat as well as the adults, while getting a balanced, varied diet, and plenty of children’s favourites!   We are very flexible when it comes to children meals – just let us know what their preferences are and we will do the rest.

Adults’ dinner is the main event of the day – a delicious 3 (or sometimes 4) course feast complete with unlimited red or white wine, coffee and petit fours.  The convivial atmosphere around the dining table is enhanced by interesting menus devised essentially from fresh locally-sourced produce.   We like to serve you some local Savoyard specialities as well as national French dishes, with international variations too.   We always offer plentiful and colourful salads and vegetable dishes to accompany our meat, fish or chicken main courses, and desserts range from fruit based tarts to naughty chocolate creations and favourite English puddings!  Every week there’ll be a cheese platter featuring local cheeses, served with Port.

We are happy to cater for vegetarians and special diets – just indicate your need on our booking form at the time of booking.

Mountain Highs Ski Guiding - All our catered guests can take advantage of our free ski and snowboard guiding service.  Mountain Highs guiding is highly acclaimed – we only employ guides who really do know the ski area like the back of their hands - and it’s a service our guests have been delighted to discover.  The Portes du Soleil being such a vast network, we find that our clients really do appreciate being shown the best places to ski, the most stunning views, as well as our favourite places to eat and drink on the mountain.

On your arrival in resort our guide will come and chat to you in your chalet about your levels and preferences for guiding.  Ski guiding is provided free of charge on 3 weekdays, but we reserve the right to withdraw the service if the guide is ill or weather conditions are severe.

Ski guiding is suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders.  Our ski guides don’t teach at all; anyone requiring lessons should book some tuition with one of the ski schools. >>More Ski School Info
